You may recognize some of the faces on our cover this fall.  These elite members of our food and wine world posed with me for the cover of a  cookbook I am putting together that is coming out this fall:  The Butcher, The Baker, The Wine & Cheesemaker, An Okanagan Cookbook.  The book includes recipes from our valley’s best Chefs with each one featuring one of the many local farmers artisans that grow and create the food behind each recipe paired with one of our winemakers.  It is a celebration of all of those amazing, passionate people that grow, craft and raise the local ingredients that our Chefs are so lucky to draw from.  These people, our distinctive terroir and our creative Chefs are what make up our unique Okanagan Cuisine.  Stay tuned for details of our delicious book launch on our website and my facebook page An Okanagan Cookbook.  Thank you to all of these wonderful people for travelling and/or making time to attend the photo shoot and to David McIlvride and Alison Love of Spatula Media, Darren Hull and crew for photographing this cover image.  A special thanks to Rania Peters, Marketing Manager at Quails’ Gate Estate Winery for helping to co-ordinate the shoot at their stunning winery and to screen holder Mark Pigott and umbrella man/Publisher Robert MacDonald. ~ Jennifer Schell
