Fish n’ Sips n’ Coffee n’ Doughnuts – The Bench Market has it all

Contributor · September 10, 2013 ·

The Bench Market in Penticton has been a favourite of locals for the last eight years. It is well known as the perfect pre-wine tour spot to pick up picnic ingredients on your way to go wine tasting. The market carries a wide variety of fresh made dips, local cheese, Two Rivers cured meats, sandwiches and more.

The relaxing outdoor patio will be kept going throughout the fall season as long as weather permits. Enjoy their famous Eggs Benedict brunch until 2 pm on weekends and holidays. Recently the head barista has blended a new popular new coffee called ‘Bench Blend’. Indulge in ‘Doughnut Fridays’ with a fresh selection of Bench-made doughnuts and doughnut holes. Fresh bread is delivered every Saturday morning from local artisan Farmers Dotter Organics.

On September 7th, The chefs at the Bench are excited to participate in the Naramata Bench Tailgate party. This year’s theme is Fish ‘N Sips and will take place at Manitou Park. Each participating restaurant is given a different type of seafood to create their own signature tapas for the event. This year, The Bench will be creating a dish using cod cheeks, which they are excited to be working with.

Don’t have time to head up to the Penticton location? Don’t fret because you can now pick up some of their famous fare at Old Town Market at two separate locations, in Kelowna and Penticton. Grab your favourite take and bake pizza as well other items like The Bench granola bars.
