Experience 25th Anniversary Celebrations All Summer At Wild Goose Vineyards

Sarah Willard · July 10, 2015 ·

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary, Wild Goose Vineyards is a must-see destination all season long. The Kruger family invites everyone to come and join in the fun!
To celebrate, Wild Goose is holding monthly events on the 25th of each month from June–September. Saturday, July 25th is the big party, featuring Juno award-winning blues artist Rita Chiarelli, with opening act, ‘Case of Blues’ (general admission, $40) and VIP passes (including BBQ buffet $75). This event will sell out. Purchase tickets on the website, by phone, or in the tasting room. Other special 25th celebration events will be announced throughout the summer. Visit wildgoosewinery.com for details.
Saturday, October 10th, Wild Goose presents their 2nd Annual Beale Street Festival, with headliner Sherman “Tank” Doucette and opening act ‘Blues Boys’  ($37.50 includes performance, and BBQ buffet).
Wild Goose’s Smoke & Oak Bistro is smokin’ its way into its second year. Chef Sarren has created a mouth-watering menu of smoked Southern comfort food coupled with German staples like spaetzle (pronounced shpetz-luh) from the Kruger’s own family recipes
“It’s about the experience: like you went home to that family that loves having you for dinner. The Krugers want you to leave full, content and happy. No one ever leaves hungry!”
Enjoy complimentary tastings at the wine shop 10-5 daily until mid-October. The Smoke & Oak Bistro serves lunch 12-5 daily until mid-October.
2013 Stoney Slopes Riesling $17.49 (Vintner’s Club Price $15.75)
Winning Best White Wine at the 2015 All Canadian Wine Championships and Best Riesling at the 2015 Okanagan Spring Wine Festival Best of Varietal awards. Matching aromas and flavours of apple, apricot, citrus, honey and mineral notes with an exceptionally long finish. A perfect food pairing wine or as an aperitif.
2014 Mystic River Gewürztraminer $20.10 (Vintner’s Club Price $18.10)
Winner of Best Gewürztraminer at the 2015 Okanagan Spring Wine Festival, this wine will make you fall in love with this noble varietal.  Refreshing Alsatian-style, featuring classic notes of lychee, wild roses, and citrus with a gingery-spice finish. Excellent acidity lends itself to amazing food pairings or simply a well-deserved end-of-the-day (or afternoon!) glass.
