27: THE PLACE TO BE BEFORE AND/OR AFTER PILGRIM & PEARL

Roslyne Buchanan · August 27, 2015 ·

Enhance your dining at Pilgrim & Pearl by heading down the hall to 27 for cocktails before or after dinner. The Revival Group general manager/wine director Derek Morrison embellished the craft cocktails menu that guests already love and enjoy with a great selection of wines, whisky/whiskey and port. The signature creative handcrafted cocktails remain for those who want a 27 original, complemented by the classics. The expanded wine list includes Okanagan Valley and International choices. With a selection of red and white wines available for a two-ounce pour, create your own tasting flight. Opt for cellared vintages from the rotating Okanagan Cellar Selection that are subject to limited availability. Wines showcased are fluid thanks to the close relationships cultivated with many wineries such as Meyer Family Vineyards, Ex Nihilo, Le Vieux Pin, Fairview Cellars, and La Stella. Peruse the ‘punk rock’ California cult wines assembled by Derek to discover why California is the most popular international region sold in BC. The Whisky/Whiskey list is ridiculous with depth containing options from America, Scotland and Japan! Besides the usual suspects of Buffalo Trace, Makers Mark, and Glenfiddich, find Nikka from the Barrel, Whistle Pig and Four Roses. For good measure, there’s also a few Cognacs. Ports and Sherries round it out along with Dessert Wines for those who like a sweeter end to their evening. It’s an abundance of choice whether you’re slipping into stimulate your appetite before dining at Pilgrim & Pearl or savouring a nightcap after dinner. For exclusive and bespoke wine or whiskey tastings tailored to your group’s tastes curated by in-house experts, how about the Private Tastings available for six-to-eight guests?
