Another Delicious Reason to Visit Poplar Grove Winery

Contributor · April 2, 2012 ·

With the opening of their new winery and a coveted Gold Medal from the Decanter Magazine World Wine Awards, 2011 was a very exciting year for the team at Poplar Grove Winery, and 2012 is proving to be no exception.

Winemaker Stefan Arnason has some delicious new releases up his sleeve this spring, including a sumptuous Reserve Chardonnay, mouth-watering Rosé and, their first estate release, Munson Mountain Pinot Gris. Because of the limited quantities of these wines, the best way to ensure availability is to join the Poplar Grove Wine Club. Not only do you get six bottles of their award-winning wines delivered to your door three times a year, but also case discounts, exclusive event invitations and, la pièce de résistance, access to Poplar Grove’s limited release member only wines. If you have an oenophile in your life you’d like to impress, the Poplar Grove Wine Club is the perfect gift for any wine lover!

There is one more exciting (and tasty) addition to the Poplar Grove portfolio this year, the opening of The Vanilla Pod Restaurant at Poplar Grove. For most Okanagan residents, the Vanilla Pod has been synonymous with delicious cuisine and outstanding wines for six years. This year, owners Paul and Sheila Jones are moving their original downtown Summerland location so that diners can now enjoy their delicious cuisine year-round in a spectacular setting at Poplar Grove Winery. Executive Chef Bruno Terroso brings the perfect combination of knowledge, dazzling creativity and quality local ingredients to diners starting late spring. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner year-round, offering both indoor and outdoor seating (with a partially covered patio) for nearly 200 people. If you’re looking for a stunning venue for your next event, the winery will also host special events to make any occasion as memorable as possible! For more information about the winery, visit them on Facebook (Poplar Grove Winery), Twitter (@poplargrovewine) or online at www.poplargrove.ca.
