More Mouth-Watering Reasons to Visit Waterfront Wines

Contributor · April 2, 2012 ·

It’s back to delicious life as usual for loyal customers of Waterfront Wines in Kelowna. The award-winning restaurant was closed for several weeks for extensive renovations that effectively doubled the size of the inviting eatery.

The beautiful restaurant makeover, completed by Sawchuk Developments and renowned designer Paul Skutshek, will welcome guests with clean, elegant touches that truly reflect the understated charm that Waterfront is so well known for. Along with the new look comes an increase in seating capacity as well as an expanded kitchen.

With the larger kitchen, acclaimed Chef/Sommelier Mark Filatow and his team will have room to flex their culinary muscles with some new kitchen toys to create a more extensive menu. Fan favourites, including the Tandoori Masala Spiced Calamari and the Peppercorn Crusted Flat Iron Steak will continue to be mainstays, and the menu will change with the seasons to reflect Chef Filatow’s passion for the bounty that our beautiful region has to offer and dedication to our local growers.

For the ultimate dining experience, the new design also features a chef’s table. Four lucky diners (reservations highly recommended) will sit right at the kitchen counter where they will be able to see the chefs masterfully prepare their meals and get the inside scoop direct from the front-line. These are truly the best seats in the house!

In addition to the exciting happenings right at the restaurant, you can always have the outstanding Waterfront team cater your next special event as well. Details Catering can make any event the talk of the town, whether you’re hosting a formal dinner or a casual BBQ, Chef Filatow can design a menu to suit every style and size of event. Speaking from experience, this is one decision that will make your event shine. Nearly two years after my wedding, people are still talking about the amazing dishes that Chef Filatow and his team whipped up for our special day!

To keep up-to-date on the menus and upcoming events at Waterfront Wines, check them out on Facebook (Waterfront Wines), Twitter (@WFWines) and online at www.waterfrontwines.com.
