Enjoy a Beer Tasting at TREE Brewing

Mike Lee · May 31, 2012 ·

In a region awash with vineyards and wineries, it’s great to have a local brewery making award winning, hand crafted beer and cider. Tree Brewing Co. is located in Downtown Kelowna, on Richter Street, close to the Cultural District. Here, German trained Brewmaster, Stefan Buhl and his team, use only the finest of natural ingredients to make their flavorful and memorable range of beers. Stefan is extremely passionate about what he does and only makes his beers in small batches, with great attention to detail. He created the new Madcap Belgian White Ale with the Okanagan summer in mind, a delicious and refreshing unfiltered beer, which I thoroughly recommend. If you’re undecided on what to try from their extensive range, then look no further than their Character 12 pack which includes three each of the following, Madcap Belgian White Ale, Beach Blonde Lager, Kelowna Pilsner, and the Thirsty Beaver Amber Ale. Perfect for that BBQ party! For the cider lovers amongst us, Tree produces Dukes Dry Apple Cider. It’s made with 100% apples from Kelowna and is crisp, clean and wonderfully refreshing. Tree Brewing also offers a tempting line of food products and merchandise too. Be sure to try their mustards, sauces and jellies, created by Taste of the Okanagan Specialty Foods

Having company in town this summer? Be sure to drop in for a tasting or a tour. The brewery is open 7 days a week from June 1 until August 31, from 9am until 6pm each day, with the tasting bar open at 11am. There is just a $2 tasting fee, with all proceeds commendably going to local charities. New for the summer, Tree will be hosting guided tours of the brewery, costing just $8, check the website www.treebeer.com for tour schedules and additional information.
