2009 Merlot Released at Oliver Twist Winery!

Courtney Fossett · September 6, 2013 ·

With the arrival of fall, new wines have appeared on the shelves at Oliver Twist. The 2009 Merlot is coming!  This classic Merlot is a medley of black cherry, blackberries and coffee notes. The time spent in a combination of American and French oak barrels as well as the extended aging has resulted in a rich wine with fine tannins and a velvety finish.  Be sure to try the 2012 Pinot Gris as well.  This wine is a lush bouquet of delicate pears, stone fruit, melon and tropical fruits.  The firmly acidic structure makes this a well-balanced wine and a great partner for a range of dishes, most notably seafood.  The Rosado Splash has returned again as well.  The 2012 vintage of this light patio sipper is made from Syrah grapes with a splash of Viognier, resulting in a rich, off-dry rose that delights with a blast of berry flavours including blueberry, blackberry and guava with a hint of cinnamon to keep things interesting.  This wine has a bold enough profile to stand up to all manner of appetizers so make sure you take some home for your next party.

A redesigned web site has been introduced at www.olivertwistwinery.com.  Fans of their wines can now order product on line from the comfort of home.  The best way to keep your private stock of Oliver Twist wines is to join their new Twist Club.  Choose from a variety of wine combinations; Krazy for Kerner, Winemaker’s Pick, Twist Red and Twist White.  In return for committing to the purchase of two cases of wine annually, you will receive discounts on merchandise in the wine shop, invitations to member only events, pre-release purchase opportunities and access to limited availability and small lot wines.  Check out the details on line today!
