Grape Escapes In The Okanagan

Contributor · September 10, 2013 ·

Whether you are just beginning your journey in the world of wines or have been interested in the libation for decades, you are bound to leave a Grape Escape Wine tour with some new-found knowledge.  The tour company offers wine journeys up and down the Okanagan Valley from the Naramata Bench to Okanagan Falls, Summerland, Oliver and Osoyoos as well as through the Similkameen Valley.  Choose from the “Simply Sipping Discovery Experience” a tour that offers up a selection of wine visits in each particular region focusing on discovering a variety of new favourite bottles, or the more in depth “Grapes to Glass Discovery Experience” which includes wine facility tours and vineyard walks.

Once you’ve decided on the region you’d like to explore, you can also choose whether you would like to spend a half or full day in the area.  The half days are approximately 4 hours in length and showcase 4-5 wineries and include tastings and a professional wine guide and driver.  Additionally you can add on a lunch at a winery bistro or a gourmet picnic lunch by Grape Wine Tours.  Full days always include the lunch and visit 6-7 wineries during the 6.5 hour tour.  The company also does a “TGIFermented” tour from 5-7 pm each Friday visiting 3 wineries in 2 hours and has recently added the “BLT”, a beer and liquor tour with or without a pub lunch.  Tours range from $25-$140 and can also be customized should you require.
