Something for Everyone at Smack DAB

Dona Sturmanis · September 16, 2013 ·

Smack DAB continues to be one of Kelowna’s most popular eateries since it opened in mid-March. “Our patio is definitely exceeding our expectations,” says Heather Schroeter, general manager at Kelowna’s Manteo Resort. “Our guests are enjoying the new ambience, casual food, craft beers, local wines, and of course you can’t beat the location–Smack DAB on Okanagan Lake.”

Smack DAB is a spacious, well-appointed eatery for all ages. It has Kelowna’s largest lakeside patio offering a sensational view of the lake…any closer and you would be in the lake! “Smack DAB is busy every day when the sun is shining,” says Heather.
Inside, large folding glass doors provide an open air environment in warmer months and protection from the elements when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

There’s also The View Room, a private dining room that seats up to 22 guests at a beautiful handcrafted harvest table.
From the extensive menu, Smack DAB guests have been especially enjoying the Won Ton Prawns, Fish Tacos and Forno Oven Pizzas. From the 12 craft beers on tap, they have been particularly appreciating the IPAs and fruit beers. Try the unique flights of five – 4 oz beers to help you choose your favorite.

The man behind the Smack DAB menu is Brad Horen, Executive Chef at Manteo Resort Waterfront Hotel & Villas. He’s a successful Chef of the Year, Iron Chef competitor, multi-medalist at the Culinary Olympics and winner of numerous chef-ing awards, medals and trophies.
With nearly two decades of culinary expertise, Horen has served up culinary masterpieces for former presidents, famous hockey players, friendly patrons and everyone in between.

Smack DAB is open daily for buffet breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night snacks.
