ON THE COVER…

Contributor · December 6, 2013 ·

ON THE COVER:

The sexy, boudoir-esque design featured on our cover this month can be found on the label of best-selling Bordello wine from Summerland’s Dirty Laundry Vineyard (for fans, their trademark iron logo will be a give away!).

You know the story right? There was an actual Chinese laundry in Summerland back in the day that had some – ahem – rather dirty business going on upstairs.

Branding expert Bernie Hadley-Beauregard of Brandever (perhaps the most iconic branding company in our wine industry) was hired to develop a new brand for former Scherzinger Vineyards Cottage Winery. After unearthing this unique bit of local history, Hadley-Beauregard proceeded to work his magic and created the Dirty Laundry brand in all of its glory.

One of our provinces favorite wineries to visit, Dirty Laundry Vineyard has become a destination for wine-lovers.

To view the entire fun, fabulous and cheeky story (in the cool online mock theatre) go to www.dirtylaundry.ca.

BORDELLO (2010) – $41.99

An exotic swirl of Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot with a dash of Cabernet Franc this gal is silky, velvety, full-bodied and rather provocative. She will flirt with you and make you crave another encounter.

Tasting Notes:

A big red wine with aromas of meat spice, cocoa, vanilla, blackberry, blackcurrant and anise. Firm tannins and finishes dry with long lingeromg flavours of anise, cherry, toffee and tobacco.
