Tastefull Excursions: The Wine Trail Less Travelled

Thanks to Tastefull Excursions, wine lovers can now start their touring from Kamloops— ideally situated to be an important gateway to an expanded BC wine country.  With a growing number of wineries in the Thompson Shuswap, the Similkameen and Gold Country, you now have the option of exploring the “wine trail less travelled.”

Proprietor Maatje Stamp-Vincent started Tastefull Excursions in response to the opening of tasting rooms last fall at Privato and Harper’s Trail wineries in Kamloops.  Thompson Shuswap wineries are winning medals at Canadian and BC wine competitions. “That speaks volumes for the quality wines produced here including impressive wines from young vineyards,” says Maatje.

“Kamloops residents were really excited at the prospect of having a winery tour company locally based. Response has been fantastic,” says Maatje, who moved with her husband to Kamloops from Terrace last year.

The Tastefull Excursions vehicle is a custom build 12-seater 2014 Mercedes Benz Sprinter.  “Guests enjoy being able to relax, appreciate the gorgeous scenery and socialize safely without the worry of drinking and driving.”

The Kamloops tour is popular.  “It’s fun that bookings include requests for stagettes and other special events from Alberta and Vancouver.”

Maatje expects more bookings for Shuswap, Gold Country and Okanagan Lake Country as tour season ramps up.

Wine lovers wishing to visit Central and South Okanagan, or Similkameen wineries also have the option of a guided tour with TasteFull Excursions by request.

Email Maatje at info@tastefullexcursions.ca or call toll free at 1-844-314-4555. Visit online: www.tastefullexcursions.ca.
