D’Angelo – A Wine Country Escape with a View

Lorne Eckersley · July 3, 2014 ·

Tired after a long drive, a whirlwind of winery visits or a day of cycling? Settle in and enjoy what you really came to the Naramata Bench for—a little R and R. Your accommodation at D’Angelo Estate Winery Bed and Breakfast has everything you want—comfort, cooking facilities, quick access to great wines–and the view. Make that THE VIEW! You might never want to leave.
From its location on Lochore Road, just a minute or so west of Naramata Road, the D’Angelo property slopes gently downward to the shores of Okanagan Lake, and the decks available to all guests offer entrancing views. From the Kettle Valley trail to Sal D’Angelo’s immaculate vineyards to views across the lake to Summerland and northward, the vista explains exactly why Sal fell in love with the area when he first visited from Ontario 20 years ago.
In the wine shop, learn just why this family operation has become a favourite among wine lovers.

2010 Sette Coppa $25.00
This full-bodied, classic Bordeaux blend has dark fruit flavours with hints of dark chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months.

2010 Pinot Noir $35.00
“Maybe the best Pinot I have ever made,” says Sal. No more description required. Just try it!

2010 Tempranillo Miscela $18.00
A luscious, complex wine featuring a blend of Tempranillo, Merlot and Cab Franc.

2012 Viognier $15.00
Sal’s only white wine is aromatic, bursting with peach and honeysuckle flavours.
