Frolic Lakeside at the Cove’s Bonfire Restaurant

West Kelowna’s Cove Resort is home to the Bonfire Restaurant and patio, where they’re always serving up something special under the sun.

Gardens aren’t just lush landscapes here; they’re visual and edible delights that are incorporated into just about everything from food to drinks at the Bonfire Restaurant.  Their private garden includes 1300 heirloom tomato plants, squash, greens, corn, potatoes and more.
“We are making everything as organic and heirloom as possible.  Growing our own food means we can control the quality of what we’re serving,” says Restaurant Manager Brad Unrau.

Both Executive Chef Grant de Montreuil and Unrau are gearing up for a fun filled summer resplendent with live music, great wines, fabulous food and special events.

The new summer menu features locally inspired food and drinks, and you can dock and dine at their beautiful waterfront patio.  Or place your order in advance so you can float up, dock, and your take out food will be ready for you to get right back on the boat!
Summer on the Bonfire Patio means live entertainment every Friday and Saturday night, where the talent is focused on the local music scene.  Watch for the Bonfire outdoor theme parties in July and August.  Plans for July, a luau complete with pig roast, live music and entertainment, are being finalized now.

“We’ve built an amazing team this year.  We are developing a buzz locally, by creating something fun and exciting and reasonably priced, where people know they can come and enjoy themselves,” Unrau promises.

After a summer of lakeside dining and merrymaking, there are also plans for an action-packed fall.  Look for their winemaker’s dinners, where they’ll showcase the Okanagan’s wonderful wine and food bounty.
