Gray Monk Estate Winery Wows at Wine Awards

Deanna Rainey · July 3, 2014 ·

Early summer looks spectacular at Gray Monk Estate Winery, and with five prestigious new awards, they’re in the mood to celebrate!  Visit Gray Monk’s Grapevines Restaurant or relax in one of their private rooms for special business and party functions.

Gray Monk’s latest accolades from the 2014 All-Canadian Wine Championships include Gold Medals for their 2010 Odyssey Traditional Brut,  2012 Pinot Blanc and the 2013 Ehrenfelser.  They also took home Bronze awards for their 2012 Riesling and the 2011 Meritage.  Also on the ‘must sip’ list this summer is their famed Pinot Gris, which is, as Proprietor Trudy Heiss says, “flying out the door!” The winery is open 7 days a week – for hours visit www.graymonk.com

The Grapevine  Restaurant at Gray Monk is known valley-wide for its award-winning foods, colourful flower baskets and endless view of Okanagan Lake.  Dine at the Grapevine from 11:30 am until 9 pm daily.

For the ultimate treat, book your group of a dozen or less people in the private Wine Library, featuring seated tastings and meals in an intimate setting, surrounded by all the wines they’ve produced and hosted personally by one of the senior members of the Gray Monk team.

The Winery’s private Panorama room is perfect for groups as large as 50, and feature an intimate, secluded balcony.  A charming area framed with breathtaking views, there’s nowhere better for a business meeting, food and wine paired dinner and private tour.  Stand up wine and cheese pairings are available from $17.50 per person, and a delectable four-course dinner starting at $45.00.
