Red Rooster Winery has gone social, and they want you to come along too!

Terry Meyer · July 3, 2014 ·

very day this summer there is something new to experience at Red Rooster. Whether its wine tasting, food pairing, art gazing, a seminar, dining in the Pecking Room or Paella party– there’s always something happening at this beautiful Naramata winery.  For those who’d like to learn a bit more reserve a spot in one of the Coop seminar series.  Every day at 10am they will offer ‘Wine 101’, designed to help you get the most out of your wine tasting experience and at 4pm ‘Food Pairing”, an opportunity to learn about different taste sensations and how they work to complement different grape varietals.  Weekly seminars include Friday’s at 1PM “You Be the Judge’: wine judging techniques, Saturdays at 1PM is a chance to explore the history of the Okanagan and it’s unique geography and terroir and a fun seminar Sundays at 1PM ‘Why Are You Always Picking on Me?’: a look at setting the record straight on two wines always under constant scrutiny – Chardonnay and Rosé.

Before or after your seminar and wine tasting, drop into the amazing Pecking Room Patio and Grill for outstanding local offerings created by Chef Darin Paterson of Bogners in Penticton. Open daily from 12-5 you’ll find the best of farm to table cuisine.  And if you can’t get enough of a great thing, learn to do it yourself at home with Chefs Cooking Classes every Wednesday night in July and August. Follow along as chef demonstrates how to prepare the food and then sample in the vineyard with a glass of wine.  July also offers a Spanish influence to heat up the summer cuisine with the Paella Party in July.  Information about the seminars, cooking classes and other events are posted on the website at www.redroosterwinery.com or get social and get in touch on Twitter or Facebook!  You can join their email list to get up to date information on all the fun ways you can interact with Red Rooster.
Want a chance to win two tickets to the Naramata Bench Tailgate Party in September?  Make sure you get your Naramata Wineries Association map stamped and enter the draw.
The new releases are out and not to be missed on your next visit to this lovely winery.

2013 Reserve Viognier    $21.99
Summer in your mouth with a pretty nose of pears, apricot and the floral notes of orange blossom and lilac.
