Food & Wine Studies – Okanagan Style!

What better place to study the culinary arts and art of winemaking than in the beautiful Okanagan Valley? For budding chefs, the 2015 Culinary Arts Certificate program starts in September at Okanagan College. Food Wine Farm Workshop 2 – Pasta (3 hours – hands on)
Chef Chris Van Hooydonk from Backyard Farms in Oliver will teach students the art of making beautiful pasta at home.  Wine pairings with Bill Eggert from Fairview Cellars.
$89 plus tax (class maximum 12).
Okanagan Wine and Food Intensive (18 hours) Learn about B.C. wine history, regions, grape varieties, wine styles, viticulture and winemaking. This unique course offering includes guided tastings and pairings in Okanagan College’s state-of-the-art B.C. Wine Information Society Sensory Centre classroom and behind the scenes visits to local vineyards, wineries and producers.
$650 plus tax (class maximum 12)
3-Day Food, Wine, Farm Workshop (18 hours)
Immerse yourself into the food and wine culture of the delicious Okanagan Valley through this brand new 3-Day Intensive Food, Wine, Farm Workshop! Internationally acclaimed cookbook author, Jennifer Schell of The Butcher, The Baker, The Wine & Cheese Maker, will join you each day as you learn cookery skills from some of our finest chefs! From sausage making to cheese and bread making, you will learn how to create the ultimate picnic menu that you can utilize in your home kitchen. The program ends with a picnic meal featuring all of your class creations, including a bottle of your own wine blend to take home.
