Oliver Twist – A Winery That Loves A Party

Lorne Eckersley · June 11, 2015 ·

Oliver Twist Estate Winery, located, not surprisingly, in Oliver, is becoming something of a destination winery, as owners Gina and Trevor Mitchell host more and more events each year. And they get more and more popular each year.
The season kicks off on May 3rd with a Pick Up Party. “Where were you in ’52,” Gina asks. “Come in and have a glass of wine on our licensed patio, enjoy live oldies entertainment, snack on deli delights and pick your wines for summer entertaining.” Also in May, Oliver Twist will be participating in the Half Corked Marathon, Pig Out and Bacchanalia.
Last years Show, Shine…and Wine event, Trevor’s favourite, was a huge success. “We had to use our neighbour’s parking lot too—luckily, we get along well!” he says. Mark June 13th on your calendar for this year’s car show and—are you ready for this?—the new label reveal. Live ‘60’s music and MC Okanagan Wolfman will be featured along with a pin-up girl contest!
Of course, Oliver Twist is really all about the wine, and new releases, all featuring the new bright and cheery label, await visitors.

2014 Pinot Gris
Apple, floral and pear on the nose, with strawberries and cream, Asian pear and lingering caramelized apple flavours.

2012 Merlot
“Our juicy little secret,” Gina says. “This select Merlot lures you in with the tantalizing aroma of maraschino cherry and strawberries before revealing luscious bursts of black cherries, dark berries, pineapple and sweet tropical oak.”
