DeLong Studio Staff As Precious As The Gems Displayed

Roslyne Buchanan · July 13, 2015 ·

As DeLong Studio marks 25 years of dazzling the Okanagan with its hand-crafted, original sterling silver jewelry and custom-cut semi-precious stones, owner John DeLong celebrates the staff and their commitment to customer service. Says John, “Sue May, store manager and her staff Judi, Kathy and Paula truly make your visit special. With their friendly approach, you can leisurely explore our extensive collection or count on them to find that perfect piece for you.” Once you’ve visited, you’ll see that’s no easy feat. While the compilation is exquisitely displayed in a quaint cottage, don’t let the size fool you, it is chock-a-block with treasures such as rings, chains and necklaces, earrings, bracelets, pendants, cufflinks, gemstone knives and corkscrews, scarves, leather accessories, and watercolour art cards. Included is a large selection of fine mineral specimens and polished semi-precious stones. The lapidary work is mostly produced in-house and custom set into DeLong designs. What isn’t produced on site is created by an international team of fine artisans such as silversmiths and leather craftspeople and carefully procured by John. Many fine items will be featured in 25th Anniversary sales throughout the season. To experience this stunning studio, which is open daily April to Christmas from 10 am to 5 pm, just follow the DeLong Studio signs in the Trout Creek neighbourhood of Summerland to its garden setting in a residential yard. For those who can’t make it in person or want to add to their collection from home, DeLong (delongstudio.com) ships worldwide. You’ll also find an assortment of DeLong jewelry at the Penticton VQA Wine Shop year round, and in wine-touring season at Thornhaven Estates Winery and 8th Generation Vineyard.
