Find Your Happy Place At Black Hills Estate Winery

Roslyne Buchanan · July 2, 2015 ·

The vivid contrast between desert and vineyard, craggy rocks and orchards along Black Sage Road on your drive to Black Hills Estate Winery is captivating. The scenic journey sets the tone for the sensory voyage that you’ll embark upon at The Wine Experience Centre. Each element complements the other as the stunning architecture serves to enhance the setting and more importantly, showcase the acclaimed wines. With that same philosophy to harmonize with the wines, President Glenn Fawcett announced that the new food service partner is Vintage Hospitality, the company that does the amazing food service at Liquidity Bistro and at Burrowing Owl. Black Hills Vineyard Kitchen will offer pizza and charcuterie service, seven days a week in July and August. In addition, the popular Sunset Happy Hour returns, 4 to 7 pm daily, all summer. Find your happy place, relaxing in the sun or by the poolside cabanas. Enjoy two-for-one tastings of Black Hills wines and nibble on great pizzas and charcuterie. Laugh at the witty banter of host, master wine educator Michael Biggatini and enjoy the sunset-inspired chill tunes spun by guest DJ Shakes. As philosopher Bern Williams said, “It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.” At Black Hills Estate Winery, you’ll be inspired to sip elegant wines, savour tasty bites, and linger dreaming of staying forever.
How about the Midsummer’s Night Dream featuring the live water ballet of the Aqualillies ($99.95), 6 to 10 pm, August 8th? Join this wonderful party as the Wine Experience Centre is converted into the Miami-inspired Vineyard Ultralounge –a perfect backdrop for synchronized swimming and a sexy beachwear fashion show. Groove along as DJ Shakes spins South Beach-inspired tunes, enjoy the latest wine releases and delicious BBQ food creations. For details, call 250-498-6606. Have a designated driver or opt into shuttles when you stay with a favoured rate at Walnut Beach Resort or Watermark Beach Resort.
Another great option to find your happy place is the Black Hills Estate Winery Wine Club . Membership affords you an abundance of exclusive benefits and perks at no membership fee, merely a commitment to receive direct shipment three times annually. Be first in line for each release and connected to what’s happening at Black Hills year round see www.blackhillswinery.com.
