Sandy Beach Lodge — Escape Into Naramata

Dona Sturmanis · July 13, 2015 ·

Sandy Beach Lodge & Resort in Naramata is the perfect resort for guests who want to enjoy this splendid region any time of year from early spring to late fall. They may want to sample wines on the Naramata Bench, cycle the Kettle Valley Railway, paddleboard or kayak Okanagan Lake or just relax and read a good book.

Fronted by a 400-foot private beach on Okanagan Lake, Sandy Beach is located moments away from the Naramata Bench. Comfortable cottages and B&B rooms are available at mid-week and seasonal rates. There’s a roster of amenities and activities for everyone: a pool and hot tub, canoes and rowboats on the beach, and courts for tennis, volleyball, basketball and other sports. Guest laundry facilities are available as well as Wi-Fi Internet and fax machine access. Guest cottages contain a kitchen and barbecue.

Sandy Beach Resort is an exceptional accommodation that has earned a four-star rating with canadaselect.com. It is also highly recommended by Northwest Best Places.

“The welcome was friendly, [the managers] Linda and Mike were so helpful, the room was great…the breakfasts were well balanced and delicious,” wrote one TripAdvisor reviewer.

Sandy Beach has been a favourite with visitors since 1951 when the lakefront log lodge was built and opened for business, establishing a long tradition of families who return year after year. In 1991, the original lodge was restored and 13 new log cabins were added.
