Save My Place On microbar.bites’ new patio

Roslyne Buchanan · July 22, 2015 ·

Small yet mighty from its beginning, micro bar.bites debuted in downtown Kelowna as if it has always been there. The new patio radiates that same attention to detail and is a masterpiece of wood in which you’ll feel right at home. The spectacular tables were handcrafted by Wil Brundula of Heartland Millworks. He built that 65-foot centrepiece bar inside micro as well as the front door and beautiful trestle communal table at RauDZ. Completing the patio’s warm character is vintage fir flooring and cedar railing posts and trim. With seating for 11 to augment the inside’s 34-seat capacity, arrive early because it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a cold pint of beer or bottle from the revolving selection. The bottle list currently contains 18 beers from around the world and around the corner with Tree Brewing’s Grapefruit Radler and the ‘Best of the Fest’ winner from the Okanagan Beer Festival, Parallel 49 Brewing Company’s Seedspitter Watermelon

Wit.

Experience the IPA from Chicago’s Goose Island Beer Company, which won Gold at the Great American Beer Festival and at the World Beer Cup Awards. Or for a thirst quencher in summer’s heat, how about Pacifico Mexican Pilsner, Red Stripe Jamaican Lager or Maui Brewing Coconut Porter? To sip on the patio, along with ‘spot on’ beers in bottles or from the eight rotating taps, micro has a new summer cocktail list and an ever-changing wine selection. Hungry? There’s also a great tapas menu that changes monthly and routinely offers a few surprises.
