Ramping Up For The Holidays At Discover Wines

Dona Sturmanis · August 27, 2015 ·

Fall is the time when full-bodied red wines are released. They’re popular with Discover Wines customers who look forward to when they come in to the Kelowna and Kamloops stores. In addition, Discover Wines always carries a large selection of Fall Wine Festival Winners.

Business was brisk during the summer at both Discover Wines locations. According to owner Tracy Gray, the products of many new wineries were added to shelves including Privato Vineyard and Winery, Evolve Cellars, Adega on 45th Estate Winery and Culmina Family Estate Winery.

It’s never too early to start ramping up for the holidays, and this is certainly the case at Discover Wines. “It’s a good time to start thinking about corporate client gifts,” says Tracy.

Discover Wines is well known for its selection of over 800 BC wines and also its local artisanal food products. They now carry a new line of dressings from Shelley Adams at Whitewater Cooks in Nelson. The tasting counter is always open on Fridays and Saturdays where wines are paired with local artisan cheeses.

Discover Wines also carries unique wine accessories. “One of our more popular items is our flattened wine bottles,” says Tracy. “Some of these include a winery logo and are ideal for use as a cheese or condiment tray.”

Customers are really pleased Discover Wines has chosen to stay “taxes in” for shelf pricing. This is a welcome detail with the uncertain changes to wine pricing in the province.
