Fall at its Finest: Tinhorn Creek and Miradoro Restaurant

Laura Lushington · September 3, 2015 ·

Nothing beats falling in love with the Okanagan during the early days of fall. As the heat fades away, grab a light sweater and head to Tinhorn Creek and Miradoro Restaurant to try their newest wines, and enjoy all that this winery has to offer.

Catch the finale concert of the 2015 Canadian Concert Series on September 12th at Tinhorn’s outdoor amphitheatre. Hear Juno award-winning Canadian band The Trews and give summer the send-off it deserves.

If hiking is more your style, join proprietor Kenn Oldfield on his morning Stamp Mill hikes on September 11th and 25th. While taking in the vineyard views, you’ll learn why the Golden Mile Bench sub-appellation produces such unique wines. On October 5-7th, head out on Kenn’s Grazing in the Vineyard tour and then dine on a three-course lunch by Miradoro Restaurant right in the vineyard.

As the season changes, so does the menu at Miradoro Restaurant. To kick-off this delicious time of year, Executive Chef Jeff Van Geest will be creating a special three-course menu for Hops, Grapes & Grub on October 2nd. Each course will be paired with a Tinhorn Creek wine and a local craft beer.

Make a return trip to the restaurant on October 6th as Chef Van Geest is joined by guest Chef Robert Belcham of Vancouver’s Campagnolo Restaurant. Together the pair will craft a night of exceptional food and wine you won’t want to miss.

If you can’t make it to the winery, tune in to Sandra Oldfield, Tinhorn Creek’s president, for her webinar on September 15th at 7 p.m. Live from her kitchen, she’ll chat about the local wine industry and answer your questions, so get your pen and paper ready!

Tickets for all events and details are available at tinhorn.com.
