Moraine Estate Winery – Taste The Naramata Bench

Jennifer Schell · September 2, 2015 ·

As you merrily wander along the epic Naramata Bench you will come upon a welcome sign for Moraine Estate Winery. With award winning wines to please your palate and a stunning view to please your eyes, the wine shop attendants will fill the rest of the experience with pleasure.

Celebrated winemaker Jacq Kemp’s attention to detail in the vineyard through to the cellar has garnered many awards. Owners, Oleg and Svetlana Aristarkhov, promise a brand of high quality wines with no shortcuts. Their flagship wines are the coveted Pinot Noir and Riesling and Oleg explains, ‘we are making wines the reflect the unique local terroir of the Naramata Bench. Our wines are from literally ‘right here’”.

With a wide range of wines on offer, Moraine has created something for everyone. The top tier wines, Pinot Noir and Riesling, are internationally and locally awarded with the Pinot Noir chosen as best varietal at the 2015 Okanagan Wine Festival Awards. The Riesling, also a local favorite, won a Gold Medal at the recent 2015 Okanagan Life Magazine Awards. And then there is the table wines, Cliffhanger Red and White, that have both been super popular for their great taste and affordable prices.

As the wine season grows to and end you don’t have to say goodbye to Moraine for the season, just join their wine club! More flexible than many clubs out there, Oleg allows his members to choose which wines they want for their order – they customize for personal tastes. When a club member loves a certain wine, Moraine will automatically put that member on the pre order list for the next release of that wine. The Moraine Wine Club has become super popular with locals as well as Alberta fans.
