New Executive Chef Welcomed To The Cove’s Bonfire Restaurant

Roslyne Buchanan · March 2, 2016 ·

As we look forward to its waterfront patio opening for the season, The Cove Lakeside Resort/Bonfire Restaurant & Lounge proudly announces the arrival of Brian Fowke as Executive Chef. A multi-award-winning chef, Fowke  relocated his family from Vancouver where most recently he was owner/chef of Kitsilano Daily Kitchen. Among his extensive career highlights, he was executive chef of the legendary Joe Fortes Seafood Restaurant from 1999 to 2004. Given his commitment to coming to the Okanagan for many years to cultivate relationships with local farmers and produce growers, it’ll be a smooth transition. Fowke shares President/Owner of The Cove Group of Properties Sam Trethewey’s vision and passion for locally-sourced food, complemented by Bonfire’s Culinary Garden and extensive wine list that highlights Okanagan wines produced by world-class operations to family-run boutique vineyards. Watch for Fowke’s featured cuisine, rare vintages, debuting wine labels and his collection of group dining experiences hosted in the Culinary Garden that focus on the seasonal bounty. Take your visit to The Cove to the ultimate level with a package such as the Indulge in Wine offer, which includes: an overnight stay for two in a luxurious suite; $50 credit for the Bonfire Restaurant per person; in-room locally-inspired chef’s sampler to tease your taste buds with a bottle of Quails’ Gate wine and welcome gift to pamper you; plus a guided wine tour with one of three recommended wine tour operators. Package starts from $256.50 per person. For details on these and other exciting offers, visit covelakeside.com and bonfirerestaurant.ca
