Earth Wind Fire 2016 – Saving Nature

Contributor · May 10, 2016 ·

One of the Kelowna’s favourite events, the 8th annual Earth Wind Fire 2016 will be held on Saturday June 18th at the Delta Grand Okanagan Resort. This event celebrates the spectacular natural surroundings of the Okanagan and the 45th anniversary of The Nature Trust of BC. Guests will enjoy an evening that features the culinary talent of local chefs who are members of the Canadian Culinary Federation, serving dishes paired with fine Okanagan wines.

There is also a great line up of musical entertainment including jazz vocalist Anna Jacyszyn and wrapping up with rock’n roll band Cover2Cover. And adding to the fun is a silent and live auction filled with wonderful trips, artwork, dining experiences and more!

The Nature Trust of British Columbia is a leading non- profit land conservation organization committed to conserving the natural diversity of wildlife and plants and their critical habitats by acquiring ecologically significant private land and then caring for it. The Okanagan is one of the Trust’s priority areas with 25 property complexes. Each summer, students on the Okanagan Conservation Youth Crew learn first-hand about land conservation, while conducting important on- the-ground work. Activities include ecological monitoring, installing signs, removing invasive weeds and educating the public. If you would like to help keep nature in our future in lieu of attending the event, make a donation to The Nature Trust of BC.

Ticket price for Earth Wine Fire 2016 is $175. Great value for a night of great food, great wine and a great cause.  For more information or to purchase tickets call Robin Rivers at 1-866-288-7878 email rrivers@naturetrust.bc.ca or go online at www.naturetrust.bc.ca
