The View Winery…Bring on Summers’ Best Bling!

Deanna Rainey · May 10, 2016 ·

Your spring fling or summer soiree is the perfect time to bring out the Bling! The View Winery, one of Southeast Kelowna’s most sparkling gems, is ready for the warm weather with the release of their 2016 white, pink and first-ever red Bling sparkling wine in a can. White and pink Bling are already available, the red will follow in early summer.

This is not your typical sparkling wine. Each can contains grapes ripened in the unique micro-climate found at The View. Sun-drenched vines receive a brief reprieve when the evening breeze from Okanagan Lake cools down the vineyards. The result is a crisp, slightly dry and fresh beverage that comes in a can.

Those same conditions help create the magic in The View’s trifecta of popular rosé wines. The Voulez View Rosé has been described as “a carnival of aromas and flavours.” Crisp and fresh, one wine enthusiast suggested it would be ideal with mid-day cucumber sandwiches with crusts removed.

During a recent barrel tasting of The View’s delightful Silver Lining Rosé, it was obvious that this wine is a crowd-pleaser. A luscious Baco Noir Rosé, it is rounded out with a blend of aromatic whites.

Finally, on the ‘must try’ list is the Distraction Frizzante, a delightful, dry sparkling wine comprised of Pinotage, Gewürztraminer and Ehrenfelser grapes grown on site. This year, The View is poised to make your summer sparklingly delicious!
