This Season At DeLong Studio: Fresh Look, New Pieces

Roslyne Buchanan · May 9, 2016 ·

Following a year of 25th Anniversary festivities, DeLong Studio opens for yet another exciting season with a fresh look and sensational new pieces. Owner John DeLong and manager Sue May are back from their travels to key industry events such as the Tucson Gem and Mineral Shows, at which they procure new materials for their production, stay current with trends and acquire new artisans. Whether it’s the result of working many weeks with their silversmiths with whom they’ve built a 20-year relationship or the fresh work presented through the addition of a number of new silversmiths, the one-of-a-kind designs are sure to dazzle. Showcased along with the silver and silver with coloured gemstone pieces, you’ll discover fine mineral specimens, lapidary products and more. The staff will gladly let you browse at your leisure and are eager to assist if you need help in finding that special piece that’s just right for you or as a gift. DeLong Studio is open every day, 10 am to 5 pm, from April 1 to Christmas. If you want to preview a sampling of the products or order online, see delongstudio.com (Shipping is available worldwide.)

A selection of DeLong jewelry and other items is also available year round at the Penticton VQA Wine Shop and during wine-touring season, at Thornhaven Estates Winery. While the shop is located in a most unlikely spot within a residential neighbourhood, the rewards to those who search it out are most fulfilling. Follow the DeLong Studio signs in the Trout Creek area of Summerland on Highway 97 to its delightful garden setting.
