CedarCreek Estate Winery– Entertaining Wine Country

Abbey Westbury · July 4, 2016 ·

“Been there, done that”, is not a phrase you’ll hear at CedarCreek Estate Winery. There are so many things happening at this beloved Okanagan institution that you could return every week and never repeat yourself. Legendary wines and a plethora of activities means there’s an option for everyone at this magnificent facility.
CedarCreek has a multifaceted approach to winery tours, offering something for every level of commitment. Only have a few minutes? Pop into the wineshop (10-7, daily) for a pour at the charming tasting bar. For an informative peek behind the scenes, join one of the three daily tours throughout the season. Want to learn the field-to-table story of that delicious glass you’re sipping? Take advantage of the unique paired vineyard tour. For visitors who prefer an intimate setting to experience CedarCreek’s excellent vintages, the winery offers an unobtrusive, sommelier-guided paired tasting at the Vineyard Terrace restaurant.  If you have time, you’ll want to linger here; Executive Chef Jeremy Tucker’s tantalizing lunch and dinner menus are perfectly complimented by the glorious view of Lake Okanagan from the patio.
Those views get even better down among the vines, at the enchanting Vineyard Pavilion. Throughout the summer, this heavenly spot plays host to a variety of events. Perhaps your downward dog is in need of some inspiration. Try out the weekly sunset yoga sessions overlooking the lake. If the serenity of stretching with a gorgeous view is just too much for you, never fear! You can relieve your stress afterwards with a glass of tasty tranquility in the garden lounge.
Even the aspiring painter has a home at CedarCreek, with the winery’s Vineyard Artist series. Which wines pair best with a paintbrush? Find out, as three talented local artists guide you in creating some wall-worthy pieces (over a glass or two of winemaking artistry). Attend each of these evenings, and by the end of the summer, you’ll have a complete gallery!
Music aficionados eagerly anticipate CedarCreek’s summer concerts, featuring Juno Award-winning artists. This year, there are exciting performances by Kim Mitchell, Chantal Kreviazuk and Raine Maida, and an unplugged evening with Matthew Good.
With such an array of exceptional experiences on offer at CedarCreek, you’ll find yourself constantly saying, “been there, but haven’t done that…yet!” (Then visit cedarcreek.bc.ca to reserve your spot!)
