Celebrate 10 Years of Quinta Ferreira

Roslyne Buchanan · May 10, 2017 ·

“Music to my ears” is what fans of Quinta Ferreira Estate Winery say about the family-owned and operated winery still going strong after 10 years.
Live music will punctuate the celebrations along with great wine, art, cuisine, and special promotions throughout the season. The tasting room opens daily, 10 am to 6 pm, on May 1st. Anniversary festivities kick off with the annual Bifanas, Wine & Live Music, on May 7th, 11:30 am to 3:30 pm – or until the bifanas run out. The event features the traditional Portuguese sandwich of pork in a bun, salad, a glass of wine, and of course, live music this time by local country musician Donna the Vineyard Girl. Buy your $20 tickets in advance online at quintaferreira.com or by phoning 250.498.4756 or at the door.
For the 10th Anniversary wine features for May and June, you’ll find the 2014 Chardonnay and 2012 Mistura Tinto offered at $120 a case, which is 50% off! A festive and well-balanced 2015 Sauvignon Blanc that’s crisp and savoury with tropical fruit, peach, melon and floral notes will be released May 1st. Watch for release dates on new vintages throughout the summer as well as other wine specials. The Sunday Series of Live Music throughout the summer launches July 2nd, 1 to 4 pm, with Aaron Loewen Music, a gypsy jazz/swing guitarist from Summerland. You’ll find Quinta Ferreira at local food and wine events around the valley including Pig Out in Oliver, and as the last winery stop on the Half-Corked Marathon.
Stay tuned to all the festivities by following them on facebook.com/QuintaFerreira and @QuintaFerreira on Twitter and Instagram. Anniversary surprises also await the wine club members. Check out the club’s many benefits on their website.
