Exit The Fast Lane To DeLong Studio

Roslyne Buchanan · May 10, 2017 ·

Regulars know that treasures await at DeLong Studio when you exit the fast lane of touring.

In Summerland’s picturesque Trout Creek residential area just off Highway 97, you’ll find a quaint cottage offering unique shopping. New customers are surprised and sometimes overwhelmed by the largest inventory of sterling silver jewelry in the Okanagan Valley. You soon relax in the friendly atmosphere as knowledgeable staff encourages you to browse while remaining ready to assist in finding that perfect piece for you or a gift.
Heading into the 27th season, John DeLong says, “We look forward to seeing our supportive clients who are a huge reason for our success and keep our work fun.” The off-season was productive in designing new pieces and selecting fresh items from featured artists.
They also offer a nice selection of stingray leather products including belts, money clips, wallets and travel purses in black and red. The lapidary shop supplies a large variety of one-of-a-kind stones for silver jewelry, belt buckles and knives. You can also choose from a vast selection of free-form polished gemstones for jewelry projects, as well as mineral and fossil specimens for display. For men, there are studio-produced stone belt buckles, knives with customized gemstone handles and large size sterling silver rings, chains, cufflinks and bracelets.
Open daily, 10 am to 5 pm, April 1st to Christmas. Visit in person and/or keep up-to-date at on Facebook and their website delongstudio.com, where you can preview a sampling of the products. When wine-touring, shop a selection of DeLong Studio products at Thornhaven Estates Winery and see the expanded inventory in the Penticton VQA Wine Shop’s brand-new facility as part of the recently opened casino.
