Cold Spring, Hot Bling: DeLong Studio

Roslyne Buchanan · July 11, 2017 ·

“Cold spring” rings true as the DeLong Studio folks are delighted to report the yard and gardens are now ready for the season with flowers and trees in full bloom despite the cold start. “Bling”, however, is used tongue-in-cheek because you’ll find DeLong Studio is not your usual jewelry store.
“We specialize in natural stone and silver jewelry, from delicate to bold,” says Sue May. “In our relaxed shopping atmosphere, Sue and Paula are always happy to take time to help our customers find that special piece that’s just right for them. We’ll provide advice for the care and long life of your jewelry purchase.”
Picking out that custom-made, one-of-a-kind treasure is convenient given DeLong Studio is open, 10 am to 5 pm every day, until December 23. The attractive shop, known for the largest inventory of sterling silver jewelry in the Okanagan Valley, is just off Highway 97 in the Trout Creek residential subdivision of Summerland. There are lapidary, free-form polished gemstones, mineral and fossil specimens plus studio-produced stone belt buckles, customized gemstone-handled knives and sterling silver rings, chains, cufflinks and bracelets. Shop, too, for popular stingray leather products such as belts, money clips, wallets and travel purses.
Once you’ve discovered this gem, you’ll keep coming back. Faithful clientele knows exciting new pieces await from artists with whom there is a long working relationship, and fresh designs thanks to DeLong’s commitment to seek out new artists every year. Adds John DeLong, “Above all we want our customers to enjoy their visit and look forward to their return.”
