Destiny Awaits You At Kismet Estate Winery

Contributor · July 6, 2017 ·

In the 1990’s the Dhaliwal family immigrated to the Okanagan to embark on a journey that was to become their destiny. In a mere 20 years, the family has established themselves as one of the top premier award winning grape growers. The family’s mantra of determination and hard work combined with love has brought them together to create ‘Kismet’- the Sanskrit word for destiny.
Kismet Estate Winery takes pride in making handcrafted wines selected from their finest vineyard blocks. They have named their top red blends after the spiritual laws of destiny: Karma, Mantra, and Moksha, and each tell a story of the Dhaliwal’s journey. The family recently purchased the neighbouring property and has planted another vineyard to add a premium small lot series to their brand. The property includes a heritage house for guest accommodations, designed with delicate Indian décor, a hot tub, fire pit, and picnic area featuring docks along the properties stunning Mirror Lake. With good karma on their side, the new additions to Kismet are sure to impress.
The launch of their wine club, the Kismet Connection Club, includes exclusive releases of their Reserve series featuring small lot single varietals such as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Viognier, the family’s most passionate varietals to grow. In addition to the wine club, Kismet has shifted the entire winery to the larger warehouse on the new property and have launched a VIP tasting tour which includes: a walk through the vines to showcase the growing stages, a tasting in the cellar, and a sensory experience featuring exotic food pairings (available for private bookings). Last season they launched a bistro featuring the family’s secret recipes of authentic Indian cuisine and the response was outstanding! So, this year they have decided to expand the bistro with combined indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate guests and special events. The feeling you get when you walk into Kismet is best described as ‘Moksha’, the Sanskrit word meaning of freedom and liberation. Premium grapes are reincarnated into delicate wines paired with tastes of cardamom, cinnamon, saffron and spices that will inspire your palate. Your destiny is to experience great wines, and Kismet is sure to make that happen. www.kismetestatewinery.com
