20th Vintage Celebration at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery

Ian Snook · November 29, 2017 ·

When visiting Burrowing Owl Estate Winery, there are so many things to feel good about. The wine is delicious, the scenery is beautiful, the food and service at the Sonora Room restaurant is amazing and the winery uses environmentally and ecologically sustainable practices from top to bottom of their entire organization. From solar technology to the actual Burrowing Owl Conservation project, they care deeply about the environment and their community. Who wouldn’t feel good about purchasing wine from Burrowing Owl?
This fall, don’t miss your opportunity to be a part of the highly anticipated 20th Vintage Celebration at the annual Proprietors’ Dinner! This event will be the highlight of the season with an autumn inspired reception followed by a five-course dinner featuring fresh, local ingredients paired with a selection of Burrowing Owl’s library wines. The dinner will be hosted by proprietors Jim and Midge Wyse, and guests will be expertly guided through the dining experience, the cuisine, the wines and the pairings. The event will be held at the Sonora Room restaurant at the winery on October 5th, 2017 from 6:30pm to 10pm. Tickets are $145 and can be purchased through the winery. For more information, contact the winery directly or visit the website at www.burrowingowlwine.ca
If you would like to make a day of it, you can head to the winery earlier that day to meet Lauren Mead, biologist at the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society (BOCS) along with Pluto her educational, ambassador burrowing owl, in the wine shop from 1pm to 3pm, October 5th, 2017. Learn more about this wonderful species, the conservation society and all the amazing work that they do. Enjoy tasting four wines in the wine shop for $3 with 100% of the proceeds donated to the BOCS.
