Dirty Laundry Vineyard Expands Red Wine Program

Roslyne Buchanan · December 6, 2017 ·

Dirty Laundry Vineyard has been long known for its white wines, cleaning up in awards competitions with its Riesling, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Chardonnay, and Secret Affair blend. In recent years, as the red wine program has expanded, Dirty Laundry has received accolades for selections such as Bordello and Cabernet Merlot, and this year Kay Syrah was awarded a gold medal at the Pacific Rim International Wine Competition. It’s little wonder that Dirty Laundry has been expanding its red portfolio and this year for the first time, the winery has produced a single varietal Cabernet Sauvignon. Pick up yours soon because you always remember your first.
Thanks to its popularity, the “Upstairs at Dirty Laundry” elevated tasting and tour package for adults only will continue through the fall. Available by appointment only, Monday to Friday, for $20 per person, join the WSET-educated team of Lauren Selfridge, online marketing manager, and Drew Kuchta, cellar master, for a behind the scenes experience. It includes a 30-minute winery tour to learn about Dirty Laundry winemaking processes, wine sampling straight from the barrel, and is followed by a guided wine and cheese pairing featuring our most exclusive wines and local cheese. For more details or to book, contact lauren@dirtylaundry.ca
In celebration of Canada’s 150th Anniversary, this year Dirty Laundry popped the cork on two new sparkling wines, Bubble Entendre — a white, Chardonnay-based selection, and a Rosé, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier blend. Exclusively available only in the wine shop or to members, Bubble Entendre sparkling wines are great incentives to join the Bordello Wine Club, which has been updated recently to offer the best possible deals to members. Join the club to receive benefits like free shipping on club orders Canada wide, first dibs on exclusive wines and special rates on elevated tastings. Choose the membership level that works best for you: Peek-a-Boo, Blush, Boudoir, and Madam.
Keep in mind for the fall that the patio stays open until the weather is too cold. The patio is covered and heated so you can stay cozy as you drink in the sweeping views of vineyards, orchards, Okanagan Lake and a portion of the historic Kettle Valley Railroad while sipping on your wine or craft beer. “Laundry Suds” craft beer created by North Vancouver’s Bridge Brewing includes Dirty Blond Kolsch, Brunette IPA, Full House Pale Ale, and Red Head Wheat Ale, and is available by the glass or in flights.
At Dirty Laundry, “Wine is Fun!” It’s a great place to bring your out-of-town guests for an entertaining wine tasting and to browse the unique wine shop for the latest merchandise.
