Easter Marks Daily Hours For Quinta Ferreira

Roslyne Buchanan · March 14, 2018 ·

As Peter Cottontail comes hopping down the bunny trail, wine touring springs into action at Quinta Ferreira Estate Winery on Black Sage Road, now open daily for the season. In the tasting room at Quinta Ferreira, you’ll find the new vintages of whites are being released. Now’s the time to snare those favourite white wines that sold out last summer!

Make sure you also snap up tickets for the Bifanas, Wine & Live Music event, May 6, from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm — or until the bifanas run out. It features live music, the perennially popular Portuguese sandwich of pork in a bun, salad and glass of wine for $20 — always a cheerful way to welcome the season. Tickets available through the website, by phone or in the tasting room.

Update your Day-Timer to the save the dates for all the season’s popular festivities. The Sunday Music Series returns from 1 to 4 pm, July 1 to September 2. Gather your friends and visitors to enjoy live music on the patio alongside Quinta Ferreira wine and picnic fare. Watch for the rotating schedule of talented performers.

July 15 is the date for the sixth Annual Paella Feast, another crowd-pleasing event overlooking the scenic vineyards. Enjoy live music, 11:30 am to 3:30 pm, as you watch the famous Portuguese dish, paella, prepared over an open fire. ($25 per ticket includes a plate of paella and glass of wine.) The 11th Annual Winemaker’s Dinner returns 6:30 to 10:30 pm, September 29. Details to be announced soon.

So, dust off your best Easter bonnet and visit the tasting room to see what’s new. For all the latest news, follow www.Facebook.com/QuintaFerreira and @QuintaFerreira on Twitter and Instagram. If you haven’t explored The Wine Club, learn about its many benefits on www.quintaferreira.com.
