LIVE MUSIC AND FEASTING RETURN TO QUINTA FERREIRA

Roslyne Buchanan · July 1, 2021 ·

Quinta Ferreira Estate Winery welcomes summer with wine releases and the return of live music and feasting with Fresco.

Out of barrels and into bottles are new releases of Chardonnay, Merlot, Syrah, and Mistura Tinto. For tastings and purchases, Quinta Ferreira’s wine shop is open 10 am to 6 pm daily. Reservations at quintaferreira.com ensure a seating, but walk-ins are welcome as space allows.

As bright as the season, refreshing Chardonnay offers light peach, apple, citrus and tropical aromas and flavour highlights with a sumptuous mouthfeel. To enhance your grilling season, Quinta Ferreira’s richly coloured reds provide an explosion of intense aromas and complex fruit flavours that linger on your palate. Merlot carries vanilla, black cherry, cinnamon and clove scents, with tangs of black pepper, plums, blackberries and chocolate. Mistura Tinto, a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Syrah, teases your nostrils with raspberry jam, chocolate, black cherry, blackberry, vanilla and spices, with a symphony of fruit flavours on the finish. Boldly, the Syrah exhibits black peppercorn, violets, blackberries, black cherries and raspberry jam with spicy, toasty notes of chocolate, vanilla, coffee and hazelnut, complementing vibrant fruit as soft well-rounded tannins lend a lengthy finish.

Live Music Sundays in July and August

Quinta Ferreira is delighted to invite live music back this summer in July and August on Sundays. Check out the website for the schedule as musicians are confirmed.

Fresco at Quinta Ferreira

Set regular dates to pair Quinta Ferreira wine selections with food. All summer from 11 am, Thursday to Monday, Fresco at Quinta Ferreira is serving up European- and Mexican-inspired dishes by Chef Richard Boulier. Select from delectable categories including Antijitos Mexicanos, Portuguese Fare, Small Fare, Chef’s Fare and Vegetarians. Think Bifana––a Portuguese bunwich of marinated pork tenderloin; Cataplana––Italian sausage and seafood; chilaquiles of roast chicken or seasonal vegetables. Other mouthwatering choices including tostadas, tacos, tortilla soup, pasta, chicken Caesar salad, and more.
