Wine Lounge and Charcuterie now at Meyer Family Vineyards

Roslyne Buchanan · June 28, 2018 ·

Sit back and savour the serenity at Meyer Family Vineyards Wine Lounge in Okanagan Falls, now open from 11 am to 5 pm, Wednesday through Sunday.

This season there’s an expanded “build your own” charcuterie menu showcasing locally sourced meats and cheese, olives and other small bites. Sip the highly acclaimed MFV wines or opt for BC craft beer, cider and spirits. There are even cool, tempting cocktails such as a special collaboration that uses Noteworthy Gin and MFV sparkling wine.

“To elevate our venue, we’ve hired a full-time manager with a restaurant background to oversee it and our events planning,” said JAK Meyer, proprietor. Relax and marvel at Peach Cliff Bluff and its wildlife population while you watch the vineyards flourish.

Events at MFV

Exciting events punctuate the opportunities to taste MFV wines. July 14, it’s a Long Table Cabana Dinner with Details Catering. Chef Mark Filatow (Waterfront Restaurant & Wine Bar, Kelowna) and his team from Details Catering are welcomed back. Enjoy a delectable four-course meal paired perfectly with a selection of MFV newly released single vineyard Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and meet proprietors JAK and Janice Meyer.

On August 2, Movie in the Vineyard is presented with the proceeds going to charity. Flash back to those days of drive-in movie theatres as you take in a current release film on a 33-foot screen outdoors. Even more fun with MFV wines involved!

Also, back by popular demand on September 2 are Chef Cam Smith and Dana Ewart of Joy Road Catering. Mix and mingle with JAK and Janice during a four-course terroir-focussed food and wine experience offering a true taste of the Okanagan. Current release single vineyard Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays plus some older vintages will accompany your meal.

With limited seating, you’ll want to check out whether tickets are still available as soon as possible at facebook.com/MeyerFamilyVineyards.

MFV Wine Club

By July, many MFV wines are in short supply or sold out. To help address the demand for the swiftly out-of-stock wine, the Meyers have purchased a three-acre Pinot Noir vineyard in Kaleden and leased another small vineyard there.

The best way to make sure you don’t miss out on their wines is to sign up as a Meyer Family Vineyards Wine Club member. The last 50 cases of the season are held for members only. Feel part of the family with benefits such as priority access to limited-availability wines, library wines and new releases. Through the club, you receive four bottles of award-winning wine three times per year, a 10 per cent discount on wine purchased online or in the tasting room, complimentary tastings at the winery for you and up to three guests, exclusive access to the online wine club store, no additional shipping fees when you add to your wine order, and invitations to special “Family Only” events.
