Endless Summer at Spirit Ridge Resort

Summer is coming to an end, but this doesn’t mean you have to cozy up for autumn just yet. As any seasoned traveler knows, the shoulder seasons are often the best times to travel. This usually means smaller crowds, quieter locations and continued good weather. This time of year marks the beginning of the Okanagan’s rich harvest while its wine season continues to flourish. The south Okanagan is the perfect place to visit, and Spirit Ridge Resort offers a variety of activities to interest guests throughout the fall.

Art and Wine Classes

Connect with your inner artist and appreciate the arts with Spirit Ridge’s Artist in Residence program. Spirit Ridge is a proud supporter of local artists, and introduces guests to the local art scene with a variety of art classes and seminars.

If you wish to enhance your appreciation of wine, Spirit Ridge offers onsite wine education with a professional sommelier. You can taste, savour and learn about the best wines in the region without having to leave the resort.

Active and Adventurous Wine Tours

Explore your adventurous side and continue to increase your wine knowledge by exploring the surrounding area with a few featured wine tours. Should you decide to taste wine in style, you may find yourself in a luxury van or SUV being escorted throughout the Okanagan with Moxie Tours. If you wish to feel the wind in your face as you are transported throughout the region, choose their custom Sidecar Tour. This unique and exhilarating experience will make your visit to the region that much more memorable.

You can also exercise while you explore with South Okanagan E-Bike Safaris. Choose from a variety of tours and you could find yourself cycling alongside exquisite deserts, lakes and mountains with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Wine tours by e-bike are also available and options include stops at specially selected and world-renowned wineries.

Water Sports and Activities

Experience the Okanagan from a different perspective while pursuing water sports on Osoyoos Lake. No matter what your preference of water sport is, Wakepilot at Spirit Ridge Beachfront will accommodate you. Rental selection includes Sea-Doos, kayaks, a variety of boats, and stand-up paddleboards (SUP). There are also SUP tours which include sunrise and sunset options, as well as SUP yoga classes. Boat charters are available and are perfect for novice boaters or for those who wish to have the convenience of a professional driver.

With all these offerings still available throughout September and October, you will discover the sweet delights of traveling in the Okanagan at this time of year. Like the harvest season, the variety of activities and offerings are plentiful, especially at Spirit Ridge Resort.
