Here we are in the dog days of summer, so of course, we had to find a happy hound to put on the cover.
This photo was taken at Seven Stones Winery at the south end of the Similkameen Valley. As you can see, Benny the dog is quite happy to spend time in the vineyard with his best friend, Tyler Knowles. When Tyler isn’t spending time with his dog, he works as a paramedic in Penticton.
Here’s a bit of trivia for you. It’s called the dog days of summer because ancient civilizations believed this part of the summer was so hot because of the dog star, Sirius, rising at the same time as the sun, thus making it hotter out.
